The other night Micah had the sap boiling outside. When he invited me to go out and sit with him to keep an eye on the sap, I decided to take him up on the offer. He had a chair all ready for his pregnant wife, and between a wool blanket and the roaring fire, I was quite cozy despite the freezing temperatures. It was a calm night, and we watched the sky turn colours with the sunset, and later watched the constellations appear when all was dark and quiet.
It was so peaceful and refreshing to simply sit and be in the raw spring evening. I felt truly happy and content.

Mom and I found this antique cradle at the ReStore yesterday! It needs a few screws to replace missing pegs, but otherwise is in good shape. I'm planning to use it as a daytime bassinet for the new baby when we're hanging out downstairs. We just need to find something soft to put in there.
The funny part was Arden this morning, practicing with her own little baby!
